Influencer Kristina Zias is overjoyed after the release of Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
In 2016, while working for AfterBuzz TV (co-founded by Maria Menounos and Keven Undergaro), Zias interviewed Travis Kelce, now romantically linked to Swift. During the interview, Kelce, then promoting his reality dating show “Catching Kelce,” playfully said he would “kiss” Swift if given the choice in a game of “kiss, marry, kill.”
Swift’s new album includes a nod to this interview in the song “So High School,” where she sings, “Are you gonna marry, kiss or kill me / It’s just a game, but really / I’m bettin’ on all three for us two.” This lyric has sparked excitement among fans, leading them to flood Zias with messages and tags on Instagram after recognizing the reference.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Zias expressed her delight: “In the smallest way, I am a part of their love story and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s surreal to think that my interview could have influenced something in Taylor Swift’s music.”
Zias humorously claims she “put the idea of Taylor Swift in Travis’ head” back in 2016 and half-jokingly says she wants to “officiate the wedding.” She also celebrated the support from Swift’s fans: “Swifties confirmed they are the best hype girls. The amount of messages I’m getting makes me feel like part of the best girl group ever.”
Following the album’s release, Swift dropped an additional 15 tracks in “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.” Among these, “So High School” reminisces about earlier themes in Swift’s career, such as those in “You Belong with Me” and “Fifteen,” with lyrics like “I feel so high school every time I look at you / I wanna find you in a crowd just to hide from you.”
