Rules are rules.
Taylor Swift returned from her concerts in Tokyo, Japan, flying into Los Angeles on Saturday evening instead of heading straight to Las Vegas.
However, she is expected to make her way to Las Vegas on Sunday, ahead of Super Bowl 58, where the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers.
Swift’s absence from her boyfriend’s side before kickoff is due to strict rules prohibiting players like Travis Kelce from spending the night before the game with their significant others. TMZ reported that players are not allowed to stay with their wives or girlfriends on any game night, and this rule is strictly enforced, especially on Super Bowl Sunday.

“Players are NOT allowed to stay with wives/GFs the night before games—any games. …We’re hearing in its full effect this week,” TMZ reported.
TMZ added: “when it comes to Super Bowl Sunday, the players are basically on lockdown for the wee hours of the night.”
This lockdown period before the game is standard practice for players and coaches, ensuring they are focused and prepared for the upcoming match.
After the game, Kelce will have the chance to reunite with Swift. If the Chiefs emerge victorious, they will likely celebrate their Super Bowl win together, possibly in Las Vegas.
Kickoff for the Super Bowl is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday night, airing on CBS.
