Comedian Kevin Hart, standing at a height of just 5-foot-2, foolishly decided to challenge former NFL running back Stevan Ridley to a foot race.
This decision turned out to be a terrible idea.
In a recent Instagram post, the 44-year-old actor/comedian shared the physical aftermath of the race against Ridley – a hilarious yet unfortunate sight of Hart confined to a wheelchair.
Luckily, there is now footage that sheds light on how this mishap occurred.
The video shows Hart sprinting at full speed only to abruptly stop and clutch his body in evident discomfort. Hart revealed that he tore multiple muscles in his abdomen, providing a painful account of his injuries.

This incident served as a stark reminder to Hart that he is no longer a young man and being over 40 can be humbling.
Even without his injuries, it’s clear that Hart would not have stood a chance against Ridley. Ridley had an impressive career at LSU and spent eight seasons in the NFL, including four with the New England Patriots where he achieved significant rushing statistics.
Challenging someone of that caliber to a race is ill-advised, and it’s likely that Hart won’t make the mistake again.
There is no information available yet regarding the duration of Hart’s wheelchair confinement or if it will impact any ongoing movie projects he is involved in.
