Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh recently expressed a light-hearted wish regarding Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.
In an interview with Us Weekly’s Daniel Trainor, Harbaugh humorously suggested that Kelce should start a family with Swift, which might lead to his retirement from the NFL.
“I hope they get married,” Harbaugh said. “I hope they have a bunch of kids. Heck, maybe he’ll get ready to retire here pretty soon to pursue that family aspect of his life. I would encourage that.”

Harbaugh also genuinely expressed his support for the couple, calling their relationship the “coolest thing ever.”
He mentioned that he has been exposed to some of Swift’s music through his daughter and praised her talent.
“I couldn’t say I’m a Taylor Swift fan because I don’t know enough of the songs,” Harbaugh said, “but the songs I’ve heard from my daughter over the years, I like ‘em. I think they’re excellent. I think she’s so talented. When you watch her perform, oh my god, it’s sick how talented she is.”
Despite Harbaugh’s jesting hopes, Kelce remains a significant presence on the field.
In the previous AFC Championship Game, Kelce caught all 11 of his targets for 116 yards and a touchdown, contributing to Kansas City’s 17-10 victory over Baltimore.
Throughout five regular-season matchups against the Ravens, Kelce has recorded 33 receptions for 435 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his consistent impact against Harbaugh’s team.
Harbaugh’s wish for Kelce to focus on family life will not come true before Baltimore’s 2024 season opener at Kansas City on Thursday, September 5.
Kelce, at 34 years old, continues to be a formidable force in the NFL.
