Hassan Haskins, the running back for the Tennessee Titans, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault by strangulation.
The arrest, categorized as a felony, is a result of an incident that occurred on June 22, as stated in a report from Davidson County Criminal Court in Tennessee. According to ESPN, Hassan and his girlfriend Makiah allegedly got into an argument after Makiah “liked” another man’s Instagram photo.
Haskins, who is 23 years old, was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
The Titans have acknowledged the situation and are currently gathering more information. Haskins is scheduled to appear in Davidson County Court on July 10 before Judge Ana Escobar.
The Titans drafted Haskins in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft from the University of Michigan. During his rookie season, Haskins primarily played on special teams, appearing in 15 games with one start and accumulating 93 rushing yards on 25 carries.
