Talk about cringe-worthy!
The Golf Channel made a significant error during an interview segment at the BMW Charity Pro-Am at the Thornblade Club in South Carolina.
The network was covering the event, which featured former Texas standout quarterback Vince Young as one of the amateurs. Excited for an interview with Young, Golf Channel’s reporter Lauren Withrow mistakenly interviewed Everette Sands, an assistant football coach at The Citadel, instead.
Sands managed the situation gracefully, despite the mix-up.

Withrow, on the other hand, appeared not to fully grasp the error she had made. She later reflected on the incident on her Instagram story, acknowledging her intention to “learn from the mistakes.”
This was a notably awkward moment for the network.
