Speaking Thursday on 95.7 The Game’s “Willard & Dibs,” Bay Area radio host Dan Dibley predicted that Wiggins’ time with the Warriors is over.
“I think it’s over. I think he will never be a Warrior again. I think the year is over. I think they get to the offseason and find a way to part ways.”
As a radio host in the Bay Area for almost two decades, Dibley has plenty of credibility.
Last year, Wiggins took a personal leave for an extended period which was revealed to be a health issue with his father.
On Wednesday, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed that Wiggins has left the team once again to deal with a personal situation. There is no timetable for his return.
Wiggins missed the final 25 games of the 2022-23 NBA season, but returned for the playoffs.
The former first overall draft pick has not been having a great season with the Warriors as he’s averaging a career-low 12.7 points per game.
