Gisele Bündchen openly discussed the complexities of co-parenting with her ex-husband, Tom Brady, in a recent interview.
In her February 2024 cover story for Harper’s Bazaar, published on Wednesday, the supermodel shared insights into the challenges she faces, noting that her 14-year-old son, Benjamin, and 11-year-old daughter, Vivian, are now navigating two different homes with distinct approaches.
Bündchen emphasized the differences in upbringing, recalling her advice to them: “‘The way you make your room, the way you organize and make your bed is the way you’re going to do your life.’ If you’re not learning here and now, then when and with who?’”
After 13 years of marriage, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel and Brady finalized their divorce in October 2022.
Addressing the increased public scrutiny following the split, Bündchen expressed her resilience, stating that she does not concern herself with others’ opinions. She explained that living her truth and being true to herself are her priorities.
In response to speculation about the divorce being linked to Brady’s decision to continue playing football after a brief retirement, Bündchen dismissed the notion in a March 2023 interview with Vanity Fair. She called such gossip “very hurtful” and emphasized her unwavering support for Brady’s career.
The Brazilian beauty stressed that she and Brady simply desired different things as time passed. While Brady has spoken sparingly about the divorce, he has highlighted the importance of co-parenting with Bündchen. The retired athlete also shares a 16-year-old son, Jack, with ex Bridget Moynahan.
