All Giannis truly desires is victory.
The Milwaukee Bucks’ front office has been put on alert following the widespread attention garnered by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s remarks about his future with the franchise.
Giannis is eligible for a substantial and lengthy contract extension with the Bucks. However, he has refrained from signing it, waiting to see if the franchise positions him for another championship win. If not, Giannis has made it clear that he has no qualms about seeking championships elsewhere.

“As long as we approach each game with dedication and sacrifice for a common goal, I can envision myself remaining with the Milwaukee Bucks throughout my career,” the Greek Freak stated. “I am, above all, a Milwaukee Buck, but more importantly, I am a winner. My desire is to win,” Antetokounmpo emphasized. “And I am willing to do whatever it takes for me to secure victory. If there’s a more promising opportunity for me to attain the Larry O’Brien Trophy, I must consider that option.”
These statements echo what Giannis previously shared with the New York Times. In that interview, he remarked, “Next summer, it might make more sense for both parties. Even then, I’m uncertain.”
He continued, “I wouldn’t be the best version of myself if I didn’t know that everyone is aligned, everyone is striving for a championship, and everyone is willing to make sacrifices away from their families, just as I do. If I don’t sense that commitment, I won’t put pen to paper.”
If the day ever arrives when Giannis departs from the Bucks, it’s safe to anticipate a period of mourning in Milwaukee.
