The cause of death for former NFL wide receiver Jacoby Jones has been disclosed.
According to a report by TMZ Sports on Tuesday, Jones passed away due to hypertensive cardiovascular disease, a condition that arises from prolonged high blood pressure, leading to heart complications.
Jones, who died in July at the age of 40, had a notable NFL career spanning from 2007 to 2015. He is most remembered for his spectacular performance in Super Bowl XLVII, where he scored two touchdowns, contributing significantly to the Baltimore Ravens’ victory. Jones also earned Pro Bowl honors in 2012.
