“Barking up the wrong tree lady lol”
Long and Kelce, who won a Super Bowl together with the Eagles in the 2017 season, have both retired from the NFL.
The incident occurred while the Kelces were dining at Steve & Cookie’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar in Margate City, N.J.
According to PhillyChitChat, the confrontation began when Jason declined a photo request, leading the fan to become upset.
Kylie reportedly responded to the fan’s taunts with,
“I can smell the alcohol on your breath, you’re embarrassing yourself.”
Witnesses have supported the Kelces’ actions, with the “Word to the Wise” podcast reporting multiple messages stating the Kelces did nothing wrong and were polite throughout the incident.
Margate City Mayor Michael Collins issued an apology to the Kelces on Wednesday, offering to cover the cost of a redo date night.
“As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me,” Collins said in a statement.
As of Wednesday, the Kelces had not publicly addressed the incident.
