In the realm of modern technology, maintaining surveillance on one’s ex-partner is an unfortunate possibility.
David Nalbandian, a former professional men’s tennis star and Wimbledon finalist in 2002, is facing a lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Araceli Torrado, who alleges that he installed a hidden camera to spy on her. Torrado claims to have discovered the concealed camera inside an air conditioning unit in the apartment they shared in Italy.
Despite the judge acknowledging that Nalbandian did indeed set up the cameras, it was ruled as not illegal since it was his apartment.
“It seems pathetic to me that you are not able to admit this to me. I found the camera…,” Torrado reportedly said.
“What I’m worried about is being on good terms with you, and I want to find a way to do it,” Nalbandian replied.

The couple had reportedly been together for about a year.
Nalbandian’s defense included the claim that he couldn’t see anything with the cameras due to poor internet.
“Do you want me to be honest? Yes, I put it on that day. I couldn’t see it because I don’t know what the internet is like; you can’t see it, so I didn’t see anything at all.”
The argument that he couldn’t see anything doesn’t hold up as a robust defense.
