New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been notably supportive of rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley since he was drafted from Western Kentucky.
However, this supportive dynamic has sparked reflections from one of Rodgers’ former teammates with the Green Bay Packers.
Amari Rodgers, a former Packers wide receiver, expressed mixed feelings in a now-deleted post on X. He acknowledged the benefits of Aaron Rodgers’ mentorship for Corley, but lamented not receiving similar support during his own rookie season in Green Bay. “Promise this helps him play better as a Rookie… if only I had this type of love coming into GB, but to each his own!” Amari posted.

Amari Rodgers, a promising third-round pick from Clemson in 2021, had a limited role during his tenure with the Packers, playing in 26 games with mostly special teams duties and accumulating 20 receptions for 249 yards and one touchdown.
His NFL journey continued briefly with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, and he now continues his professional football career with the Birmingham Stallions in the UFL.
It’s become increasingly clear that Rodgers’ departure from Green Bay was under strained circumstances. As more time passes, we may hear additional stories from others who felt overlooked during Rodgers’ later years with the Packers.
