Is Dak Prescott holding back the Cowboys from more glory?
During an appearance on The Carton Show, former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress expressed doubts about Dak Prescott’s ability to lead the Dallas Cowboys to a Super Bowl victory.
Burress stated that he believes Prescott has reached his potential as a quarterback with the Cowboys and that while they can win games, they won’t be able to capture a championship with him at the helm.
“I believe he’s reached his ceiling as a quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys. They can win, but they won’t win a championship with him,” Burress said.

Sports analyst Chris Simms also shared a similar sentiment, ranking Giants starter Daniel Jones higher than Prescott in his list of NFL quarterbacks.
Despite leading the Cowboys to the playoffs in four of his last seven seasons, including the last two years, Prescott has struggled in the postseason with a 2-4 record and has not been able to advance beyond the Divisional round.
In the 2021 season, Prescott showed improvement with 37 touchdowns and a completion percentage of 68.8, but his turnovers became detrimental in the playoffs, leading to the team’s elimination by the San Francisco 49ers for the second consecutive year.
