Former NFL star Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones found himself in trouble with the law once again after attending the highly-anticipated showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson in Arlington, Texas. The arrest took place in the early hours of Saturday morning, shortly after Jones attended the fight held at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
Jones, who played 13 seasons in the NFL as a cornerback, was taken into custody outside the Loews Arlington Hotel, which is located just a short walk from the stadium where Paul and Tyson went head-to-head. According to booking records from the Arlington Police Department, Jones was arrested on multiple charges, including public intoxication, resisting arrest, evading arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
The former NFL player was released later that morning after posting a $319 bond. Earlier in the night, Jones had been enjoying the fight’s festivities, even sharing a video on Instagram of himself with comedian Tom Segura.
Jones appeared in good spirits, dressed in an all-black ensemble with a matching cowboy hat as he mingled with the crowd at the high-profile event.

The arrest is just the latest in a long string of legal issues for Jones, who had a tumultuous career both on and off the field.
Throughout his 13-year NFL career, Jones had stints with several teams, including the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, and Denver Broncos, before officially retiring in 2018. Unfortunately, his athletic achievements have often been overshadowed by a troubled history with law enforcement.
Jones has had numerous run-ins with the law throughout his adult life, being arrested a total of ten times since 2000. He has also faced multiple suspensions during his time in the NFL, including a notable suspension while playing for the Cincinnati Bengals. Just last December, Jones pled guilty to a disorderly conduct charge in a Kentucky courtroom following an outburst on an airplane.
During his appearance in a Boone County courtroom, Jones expressed remorse and apologized to the officers involved in the incident, in which he shouted at law enforcement officials while on a plane at Covington Airport in Kentucky.
The charges of alcohol intoxication and making a terrorist threat were dropped as part of a plea deal. Jones was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but the sentence was suspended, meaning he wouldn’t have to serve time if he stayed out of trouble for the next two years. With this recent arrest, it remains unclear how his previous plea deal and suspended sentence may be affected.
Jones’ history of legal troubles includes several other notable incidents. In 2008, he was involved in a brawl at Atlanta Airport, although authorities later determined that he was not the aggressor in that situation.
That same year, Jones found himself in hot water after an altercation with his bodyguard at a Dallas hotel, which resulted in him being suspended for four games by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
In February 2019, Jones made headlines once again when he was arrested at a casino in Indiana on allegations of cheating at the blackjack table.
Reports indicated that Jones “immediately became verbally combative and disorderly” when confronted by casino staff and law enforcement. He was subsequently booked on multiple charges, including disorderly conduct, intimidation, resisting arrest, and public intoxication.
Despite his off-field troubles, Jones enjoyed a notable career in the NFL, with his most memorable years being spent with the Cincinnati Bengals.
He played seven seasons with the team between 2010 and 2017, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2015 and being named a first-team All-Pro in 2014. Known for his dynamic playmaking ability as both a cornerback and a return specialist, Jones was a key contributor during his time with the Bengals.
As Jones continues to deal with the legal fallout from his latest arrest, questions remain about how these ongoing issues will impact his future.
While his accomplishments on the field have earned him recognition, his numerous run-ins with the law have painted a complex picture of a talented athlete whose career has been marred by controversy.
Only time will tell how Jones navigates these challenges, but for now, the incident following the Paul-Tyson fight adds yet another chapter to his turbulent story.
