Many of us have received a traffic ticket at some point, but imagine accumulating 113 of them.
That’s the staggering number of violations former New Orleans Saints linebacker/defensive end Junior Galette accrued during his time in New Orleans, as uncovered by a FOX 8 investigation.
The investigation revealed several high-profile individuals in New Orleans who had outstanding debts to the city from parking offenses. Galette stood out with a whopping 113 tickets, totaling $22,395 in fines. Despite these findings, Galette has not provided any records of payment and has reportedly threatened to sue FOX 8 for their report.

New Orleans itself faces a larger issue, being owed a total of $135,002,518.56 in traffic camera ticket fees.
These funds could significantly benefit city services and infrastructure. However, collecting these overdue fines proves challenging, according to New Orleans’ Chief Administrative Officer Gilbert Montaño. He expressed doubts about recovering the funds, describing them as a “sunk cost” due to the financial decisions and life paths chosen by those who owe.
Galette played for the Saints from 2010 to 2014, where he achieved 128 tackles, 31.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries over 64 games, including 30 starts. Born in Haiti and raised in New Jersey, he concluded his NFL career with the Washington Redskins in 2017.
