The debate over who is the greatest basketball player of all time, LeBron James or Michael Jordan, remains a hot topic.
During a recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up, Tim Legler weighed in on the discussion, asserting that LeBron cannot surpass Jordan. “He is cemented at two as much as anything on any list you could ever create. He is cemented at two. There’s no movement there. He’s not getting caught from behind anytime soon and there’s nothing he can do to make up the ground with Jordan,” Legler stated.
However, arguments for LeBron as the greatest are still compelling. He has clinched four NBA championships, earned four NBA Finals MVP titles, and won four MVP awards. Additionally, LeBron is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
His sustained excellence is also a significant factor; this season, he averaged 25.7 points per game and has maintained an average of over 20 points per game since entering the league in 2003.
LeBron and his team are gearing up to face the Denver Nuggets in what will be a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals. The series kicks off with Game 1 in Denver on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
