Darron Lee, a former first-round draft choice of the New York Jets, is currently dealing with additional legal issues after an arrest warrant was issued for him owing to his failure to show up in court on charges of assault and domestic abuse that were brought against him in April.
After being accused of abusing both his mother and the mother of his son, the 28-year-old linebacker was detained in Ohio earlier this year.
The mother of Lee’s child called Dublin, Ohio police in April to report the ex-Jet linebacker was assaulting his mother.
The woman told police she was downstairs and heard screaming from the upstairs floor, and when she went to check it out she saw Lee standing over his mother with a closed fist.
From the hospital, the mother said her son had punched her “eight to nine times” in the head.
While Lee was being investigated for this incident, separate allegations from an incident with the mother of his child from last October emerged.

The Jets selected Darron Lee with the 20th overall choice in the 2016 NFL Draft. With 36 starts throughout his three seasons with the Jets, he enjoyed a bright start to his professional career.
Though inconsistent throughout his stint with the team, he ultimately fell short of expectations.
