Michael Gallup is set to change teams.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver plans to join the Las Vegas Raiders on a one-year contract. The deal is worth up to $3 million.
Gallup, 28, was selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft and spent his first six seasons with the Cowboys.

He achieved a career-high 1,106 receiving yards and six touchdowns in the 2019 season. However, his involvement in the Cowboys’ offense declined following the arrival of CeeDee Lamb in the 2020 NFL Draft and was further hindered by a torn ACL in the penultimate week of the 2021 season.
Despite these setbacks, Gallup managed to record 34 receptions for 418 yards and two touchdowns last season as Dallas’ third option at receiver.
With uncertainty around Hunter Renfrow’s return to the Raiders as a free agent, Gallup might challenge Jakobi Meyers for the WR2 spot behind Davante Adams in Las Vegas. This move could prove to be a more favorable situation for Gallup compared to other teams he was recently considering.
