Deion Sanders fosters connections.
Colorado narrowly clinched an overtime victory over Colorado State on Saturday night.
Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes triumphed over Jay Norvell and the Rams, capping off a week marked by some lighthearted banter between the two schools, initially ignited by Norvell.
In the lead-up to the game, Norvell took a playful jab at Sanders for wearing sunglasses during media interactions. In response, Sanders playfully distributed sunglasses to his entire team and media personnel.
After the game, Sanders offered a gracious comment.
“I understand that Shedeur kind of mediated between us towards the end. I can engage in playful banter if others do, but I’ve got more important things to focus on. I’m pursuing larger objectives. I’m genuinely pleased for my fellow coach. I truly am. I’m delighted they put up a strong fight and played well. I’m happy for any colleague who’s achieving success, regardless of where these misconceptions come from. I respond because my mother taught me that. I extend my congratulations to that individual. My success is independent of his, and my blessings are unrelated to his,” Coach Prime remarked following the triumph.
Colorado will aim to advance to a 4-0 record this season when they face Oregon in the upcoming weekend.
