Reports indicate that five teams have shown interest in signing former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd who is now a free agent.
Boyd spent his first eight seasons with the Bengals after being drafted by them out of the University of Pittsburgh in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft.

However, the team has decided to part ways with him before the 2024 NFL season. This decision came as they assigned the franchise tag to fellow wide receiver Tee Higgins and anticipate a significant contract extension for top wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
According to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic, “at least” five teams are interested in signing the 29-year-old.
The teams Kaboly mentioned are the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers.
Kaboly also mentioned that it seems unlikely that he will sign with the Bengals’ NFC North rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I would say that it would be a long shot, at best, that the two sides come together. From what I have been told, Boyd was extremely interested in Pittsburgh at the beginning of the free-agency process, but the offer wasn’t something he was comfortable with. Boyd has at least had preliminary interest from the Chiefs, Chargers, Dolphins, Lions and 49ers. I am pretty sure the ship with the Steelers has sailed.“
Boyd has been a reliable target for the Bengals for years.
Operating primarily as the third wide receiver in 2023, Boyd 667 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns on 67 receptions over 17 regular season games.
With 5,333 career receiving yards, Boyd currently stands ninth all-time in career receiving yards in Cincinnati Bengals franchise history.
