While some may lament the absence of Jim Nantz’s voice during the NCAA Tournament, the legendary CBS announcer remains connected to March Madness in 2024.
With a remarkable career that included calling 354 NCAA tournament games, 96 Final Four matchups, and 32 title games, Nantz announced last year that it would be his final one on the mic.
Stepping into his shoes as CBS’ lead broadcaster is Ian Eagle, a transition that has been well-received by audiences.
Nantz, a University of Houston alum, was shown celebrating the Houston Cougars thrilling overtime victory over Texas A&M and fans were loving it.
