NFL legend Tom Brady is under scrutiny from some fans who feel disappointed by their in-person signing experience, which they paid $3,600 for in Miami over the weekend.
Brad Jarrett, who attended the event, expressed dissatisfaction with the experience, stating that the restrictions on what Brady signed and his perceived lack of care in doing so made the investment of 100 collectors feel unsatisfactory.

Jarrett explained the situation on a Tom Brady Memorabilia Buy/Sell/Authenticate Facebook group that was linked on social media.
“Tom was supposed to sign for 100 people, with no item restrictions,” Jarrett wrote. “Well of course Fanatics shows up with Tom and what most people got was far worse than a Tornado Tom. People found out after meeting Tom that he didn’t sign cards and there were a lot of people that brought cards that ended up with no item signed. Again Tom’s fault and Fanatics since the contract that was signed didn’t stipulate any restrictions.”
Despite Fanatics announcing an exclusive long-term partnership with Tom Brady in 2020, covering his autographs, collectibles, and memorabilia, the company has clarified that it had no involvement with the event in question.
“Fanatics weren’t in anyway a part of, or present at this event. That said, we are sorry that you and other fans had a less than ideal experience.”
Jarrett shared several photos of items signed by Tom Brady, describing the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s signature as a mere “scribble” in a post shared on social media.
He repeatedly referenced Fanatics representatives who purportedly rushed Brady and instructed him not to shake fans’ hands, although Brady reportedly did so despite the instructions.
Even Brady’s motivational speech for attendees wasn’t worth the money.
“Well Tom these words were motivational until we saw the lack of effort that you put in on the signatures,” Jarrett wrote. … “To hear you preach one thing and then act completely opposite really loses a lot of credibility with your fans and the people that spent their hard-earned money for this experience. …
“Tom you owe better effort to those that paid their hard earned money expecting better from you.”
