Former LSU standout Angel Reese took a courtside seat on Friday night to enjoy an Eastern Conference showdown between the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks.
Earlier in the day, Reese had worked a shift at Raising Cane’s in Astor, New York, as part of an exciting NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) agreement with the company. After her shift, she deservedly relaxed at the game, particularly with the WNBA Draft just around the corner.
Reese was warmly received by the audience at Madison Square Garden, a testament to her growing popularity and recognition. She’ll be staying in New York over the weekend, as the WNBA Draft is set to take place this coming Monday in Brooklyn.

Fans quickly weighed in on Reese, with some objecting to her being called ‘Mid’
During her impressive tenure at LSU, Reese averaged 20.9 points and 14.4 rebounds per game over two seasons, solidifying her status as a top-10 pick in nearly every draft projection.
Last week, a WNBA general manager praised her abilities in an interview with ESPN, saying, “She’s just deadly in the paint. She’s also very effective even against bigger defenders due to her athleticism and quickness. She doesn’t mind getting hit and can finish strong even with defenders on her.”
Reese’s potential has certainly captivated many fans who are eager to see her transition to the WNBA and make her mark.
