Travis Kelce is no stranger to playing in front of a big crowd, but even he had to acknowledge some light-hearted teasing from a spectator at a recent golf event.
Kelce is competing in this weekend’s American Century Championship, one of the most prestigious and competitive celebrity golf tournaments in the world. On Saturday, while lining up for a tee shot, the ball didn’t go where he intended.
Attempting to cheer Kelce up, a fan shouted, “At least you’ve still got Taylor,” referring to Kelce’s girlfriend and international pop star Taylor Swift. Kelce responded with a smile, thanked the fan, and waved to some other supporters calling out to him before continuing his round.

Despite his good spirits, Kelce, along with his brother Jason, is near the bottom of the leaderboard in the tournament so far.
Former tennis star Mardy Fish holds the top spot, followed by longtime NHL player Joe Pavelski and Carolina Panthers receiver Adam Thielen.
The American Century Championship boasts an impressive roster of participants this year. From the NBA, stars like Ray Allen, Austin Reaves, Blake Griffin, and Vince Carter are competing. The entertainment world is represented by Carson Daly, Nate Bargatze, Don Cheadle, and Larry the Cable Guy.
Stephen Curry, another avid golfer, won the event last year and is back to defend his title. The field also includes top celebrity golfers like Tony Romo, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current NFL announcer, who has won the ACC three times. Romo’s most recent victory was in 2022 in a playoff against former MLB pitcher Mark Mulder and Pavelski.
As the tournament progresses, fans are eager to see which star will emerge as the top performer this year. While it appears unlikely that Travis Kelce will claim that title, his participation and positive attitude continue to win him fans both on and off the course.
Whether he’s making plays on the football field or swinging clubs on the golf course, Kelce’s charisma and sportsmanship remain undeniable.
