Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion Terrell Suggs was reportedly arrested and booked into the Maricopa County jail late Tuesday, according to various reports.
Suggs faced two charges, including one count of assault and one count of an offense against a public order. A spokesperson for the jail confirmed to TMZ that the former Arizona State Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year has since been released.
Further details about the arrest and the charges have not yet been disclosed.

During his impressive 16-year career in the NFL, Suggs made a significant impact after being drafted with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Ravens. Prior to his professional career, Suggs garnered numerous accolades while playing college football at Arizona, including the Ted Hendricks Award, Lombardi Award, Bronco Nagurski Trophy, Bill Willis Trophy, and Morris Trophy. He was also recognized as a unanimous All-American in 2002, Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year, and earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors along with Pac-10 Freshman of the Year.
Throughout his tenure in the NFL, Suggs earned seven Pro Bowl selections, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003, and NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2011. He played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2003 to 2018 before spending time with both the Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs in 2019.
In his illustrious career, Suggs accumulated impressive statistics, including 886 total tackles, 139 sacks, 39 forced fumbles, 15 fumble recoveries, and 60 pass deflections.
