Former New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker had some intuitions that something was off about infamous Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez in 2012.
Welker issued a warning to his fellow Patriots wide receiver, Brandon Lloyd, about Hernandez when Lloyd joined the team in 2012.
“I just want to warn you that he’s going to talk about being bathed by his mother. He’s going to have his genitalia out in front of you while you’re sitting out on your stool. He’s going to have his towel and try to dry off in front of you while you’re sitting at your locker. He’s going to talk about gay s*x. Just do your best to ignore it. Even walk away.”
Despite the warning, Welker probably could not have predicted how Hernandez’ career and life would exactly turn out.

Hernandez became one of the most infamous professional athletes of all-time after being convicted of the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd and taking his own life in his prison cell in 2017.
However, it’s fair to say that Welker wasn’t completely surprised by how Hernandez’ life unfolded based on this warning he gave to Lloyd.
Welker was a 5x Pro Bowler in his six seasons with the Patriots and led the NFL in receptions in three of those seasons.
He is the Patriots all-time leader in receptions with 672 and is third on their all-time receiving yards list with 7,459 yards behind only wide receiver Stanley Morgan and tight end Rob Gronkowski.
