Former NBA player Kent Bazemore has officially finalized his divorce from ex-wife Samantha Serpe, with court documents revealing significant financial arrangements as part of the settlement. Page Six can exclusively disclose that Bazemore, 35, paid Serpe, 34, a substantial sum of $1,520,944.34 for her share of their marital home in Atlanta. This payment ensured that Bazemore would gain full ownership of the estate, with Serpe agreeing to sign a “quitclaim deed,” relinquishing any and all interest she had in the property to the former Atlanta Hawks star.
Bazemore, who is currently working to revive his basketball career with the Greensboro Swarm—the G-League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets—also secured sole ownership and possession of several high-end vehicles as part of the divorce agreement. The settlement granted him exclusive rights to a 2022 Porsche 911, a 2022 Audi RS6, and a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500. On the other hand, Serpe retained ownership of a 2019 Mercedes G550.
In addition to the division of assets, the former couple agreed not to seek alimony from one another. However, they have established a child support arrangement for their two young children—son Jett, 5, and daughter Nixon, 3. According to the court documents, Bazemore, whose monthly income is listed as nearly $3,500, is required to pay Serpe $5,000 per month in child support, beginning May 1, 2024. The payment is due on the first of each month.

The divorce marks the end of a five-year marriage that began with promise but ultimately deteriorated. Serpe filed for divorce in January 2023, citing that the marriage was “irretrievably broken” with “no chance of reconciliation.” She listed the official date of separation as November 23, 2022.
Bazemore’s NBA career has seen its share of highs and lows. He made a significant impact in the league when he signed a lucrative four-year, $70 million contract with the Atlanta Hawks in 2016. After fulfilling that contract, Bazemore played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings, but the constant relocations and short-term contracts began to take a toll on his personal life.
In a candid interview with the Mercury News in 2021, Bazemore opened up about the challenges of moving frequently, especially as it affected his family life. “Tired of bouncing around. Wife is definitely sick of it. She’s human, man,” he said at the time, acknowledging the strain that his career had placed on his marriage. “Every time she gets goin’, it’s time to go again.”
As Bazemore now focuses on his career in the G-League and adjusts to life post-divorce, the financial settlement and child support agreement highlight the complexities that often accompany the end of a high-profile marriage. Meanwhile, Serpe, a Villanova alum, moves forward with her own life, retaining a share of the couple’s assets while co-parenting their two children.
