Sometimes it’s better to steer clear of social media.
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick might want to consider seeking support from someone other than Ryan Clark in the future, following Clark’s recent comments.
There has been an ongoing debate on social media about whether Fitzpatrick’s hit on Nick Chubb, which ended Chubb’s season, was a dirty play or not.
When someone on social media suggested that Fitzpatrick deserved a suspension for the hit, Clark defended him, stating, “This is absurd… it’s just football. There’s no way Minkah intended to do that or could have foreseen it.”

However, things took a turn when someone attempted to tease Clark by responding, “Yeah, just like you never intended to hurt opponents…” Clark may have made an ill-advised statement in his reply, saying, “With some of them, I did.”
Fans were incensed that Clark would defend Fitzpatrick’s actions on one hand and then admit to intentionally causing harm to opposing players on the other. Many argued that such an admission undermined his argument.
In summary, it appears that Ryan Clark may not be the best person to turn to for judgment on whether someone is a dirty player, especially in the realm of social media debates.
