Big news in the sports media world.
It has been announced that ESPN, Fox, & Warner Bros. are teaming up to launch a joint sports streaming service this year.
According to Ari Meirov, the move will reportedly “place content from ESPN, TNT, and Fox Sports on a new standalone app and will have significant ramifications for the future of TV sports.”
The platform has yet to have a name or price.
Joe Pompliano also added that the streaming service “will be available to all ESPN+, Hulu, and Max subscribers, and each company will own one-third of the product.”
The new service is expected to launch in the fall.
It will present all of the broadcast and cable networks owned by Disney, FOX, and Warner Bros. Discovery that show sports, as well as ESPN+.
