NFL players and coaches have their pregame rituals, so why not sideline reporters like Erin Andrews?
Erin Andrews often shares personal routines and quirks on her podcast, “Calm Down With Erin and Charissa,” co-hosted with Charissa Thompson. In a recent episode, the two were discussing their personal traditions when Andrews revealed her own pregame superstition.
“I have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before every game, is that a tradition?” Andrews asked. “I feel like it just gives me energy.”
Indeed, you can’t go wrong with a classic PB&J. This is a far more appealing habit than another she recently mentioned, where she confessed to chewing her gum “like a cow.”

Interestingly, Erin Andrews isn’t the only sports media personality to praise the virtues of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Back in February, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith declared it the greatest sandwich of all time, high praise from the outspoken commentator.
With the 2024 NFL season fast approaching, Andrews will soon be back to her PB&J routine. She is once again set to be FOX’s No. 1 sideline reporter this fall, teaming up with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt and game analyst Tom Brady.
As the season unfolds, fans will see Andrews on the sidelines, fueled by her trusty pregame peanut butter and jelly sandwich, ready to deliver the latest updates and insights.
