A recent survey of NFL personnel evaluating various players included a harsh critique of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen from an anonymous executive.
The critical remarks didn’t sit well with Fox reporter Erin Andrews.
The executive’s comments highlighted Allen’s high interception count. “Allen’s 47 interceptions since 2020 are the most in the league. One of the more overrated players in the NFL,” the veteran NFL executive stated. “Immense talent but he makes a lot of mistakes. He’s underdeveloped at winning at the line of scrimmage, tends to lock on to targets, more of a thrower than precision passer, forces throws into traffic.”
On the latest episode of “Calm Down with Erin and Charissa,” Andrews expressed her frustration with the anonymous executive for not having the courage to publicly stand by their comments.

“Like, come on, if you’re gonna say something like that, say it with your chest. Take ownership,” Andrews said. “I’m afraid, so I’m gonna say something mean. It’s like Twitter. Shut up.”
Her co-host, Charissa Thompson, chimed in, adding, “Sources are funny, aren’t they? I’ll leave that alone since I get in trouble for being too honest.”
The critical executive might have based their opinion on a limited observation because Allen is widely regarded as a top-tier quarterback in the NFL.
Despite his high turnover rate, Allen’s performance hasn’t prevented the Bills from winning the AFC East title and at least one playoff game in each of the past four seasons. His immense talent and ability to make plays have consistently put him in the conversation as one of the top five, if not top three, quarterbacks in the league.
Allen’s development and contributions to the Bills’ success are evident, and Andrews’ pointed response highlights the frustration many feel when anonymous sources take potshots at players without accountability.
As the season progresses, Allen will have the opportunity to further prove his critics wrong and solidify his status among the NFL’s elite quarterbacks.
