In the latest episode of their podcast “Calm Down,” Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson fearlessly tackle uncomfortable conversations, delving into the complexities that arise when business and pleasure intertwine in the sports realm. “I have dated athletes, but never anyone that I was covering at the time,” Thompson said. “So I don’t know, it feels like a tricky situation.”
Thompson revealed that she had been in a relationship with a colleague during her time at ESPN.
“It wasn’t a superior, like we were equal because obviously then that’s a whole other thing,” she said. “You can’t date your boss.”
According to Andrews, being in a relationship with a professional athlete is often frowned upon within their industry.
“I think it depends on what your job is,” Andrews, 45, said. “It’s hard because in an everyday job, say if you were a contractor. I don’t know if it is as looked down upon as it is in our world.
“It kinda sucks, there is always this preconceived notion. It just sucks.”

Thompson mentioned that she refrained from dating athletes for an extended period because of that precise reason.
“It was like, ‘Oh, that’s the only reason you’re doing this job because you want to date the athlete.’ No, it’s actually a good freakin job, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do and you make great money,” she said.
Charissa Thompson gained fame as a sports journalist on Fox and has garnered attention on social media for her remarkable fashion sense.
However, in April 2022, she made headlines for filing for divorce only two years into her marriage. This wasn’t her first marriage, as she had previously been married at the age of 25.
Additionally, she was involved in a romantic relationship with Jay Williams, a former Chicago Bulls player and ESPN analyst. During this period, explicit photos and videos of Thompson circulated online.
Erin Andrews has had romantic relationships with Chace Crawford, Josh Hopkins, and David Wright in the past.
Since 2017, she has been married to Jarret Stoll, whom she began dating in 2012.
