Jets wide receiver Jerome Kapp wowed viewers with his impressive rendition of Eminem’s famous rap from the movie “8 Mile” on a recent episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”
The viral clip showcased Kapp’s freestyling skills during the Jets’ rookie talent show, earning him praise not only from fans on social media but also from the rap icon himself.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, commended the 24-year-old undrafted rookie out of Division II Kutztown for his performance.
He gave him the old salute:

In the video, Kapp confidently rapped the explicit lyrics for nearly two minutes, accompanied by the instrumental music, while his teammates watched in awe.
His attire, a beanie and hoodie, added to the authenticity of his portrayal.
The enthusiastic response from the crowd led to a standing ovation for Kapp when he finished.
Even Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers quarterback, couldn’t help but join in the applause with a genuine smile on his face. Kapp, highly motivated to secure a spot on the Jets’ 53-man roster this season, has impressed during training camp.
However, his opportunities in the preseason games have been limited, with only one reception for six yards on two targets. Despite this, he showcased his talent during his time at Kutztown, accumulating 2,190 yards and 22 touchdowns in 36 career games.
In his final year, Kapp recorded 916 yards, nine touchdowns, and 47 receptions.
As the Jets gear up for their preseason finale against the Giants at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, Kapp will have one more chance to make a lasting impression on the coaching staff.
