The New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils were ready to go at it Wednesday night.
The rival NHL teams dropped their gloves immediately after the opening puck drop to engage in a wild 5-on-5 brawl.
A coach for the Rangers and a coach for the Devils were also shown getting into it on the bench.

Most of the focus is on #73 Matt Rempe of the Rangers brawling with #23 Kurtis MacDermid of the Rangers.
In addition to Rempe and MacDermid being ejected, Jacob Trouba, K’Andre Miller, and Barclay Goodrow were ejected for the Rangers while Chris Tierney, John Marino, and Kevin Bahl were ejected for the Devils.
Incredibly, Rempe has played three games against the Devils this season and he’s been ejected in all three games.
Rempe could be seen getting the crowd going following the fight.
In total 162 penalty minutes were given in the first period which is an NHL record for a single period.
As of this writing, the Rangers currently lead the Devils 2-0 at the end of the first period.
