Nina Thomas, the estranged wife of former Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas, has been charged with multiple crimes, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft. The charges stem from allegations that she orchestrated a scheme to defraud the three-time All-Pro and Super Bowl champion of millions.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Nina’s alleged scheme began in September 2021 and involved transferring substantial funds and properties from Earl’s accounts to her own without his knowledge.
Authorities claim she worked with a co-conspirator—whose identity was redacted in the documents—to misappropriate more than $2.7 million. Among the items purchased with the stolen funds were luxury goods, including a Hermes Birkin handbag and breast implants.
Nina was taken into custody on December 16 but was released shortly afterward.

The case raises questions about whether Nina’s co-conspirator could be connected to her former boyfriend, who was previously implicated in a separate fraud case targeting Earl. Last year, Nina’s ex-boyfriend reportedly scammed the former NFL star in another financial scheme, though it is unclear if he is involved in the current charges.
Earl and Nina Thomas married in 2016, but their relationship has been marred by a series of highly publicized incidents. In 2020, the couple was involved in a dramatic confrontation in a parking lot that reportedly included a loaded gun.
The following year, Nina obtained a restraining order against Earl, citing allegations of his erratic and drunken behavior.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the case underscores the challenges the former Seahawks star has faced both on and off the field since his NFL career.
