Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman remains in a holding pattern as he awaits decisions from veteran stalwarts Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox regarding their NFL futures.
Both Kelce and Cox have been pillars of the Eagles organization for the past decade.
Kelce, in particular, has etched his name in NFL history as one of the best centers of all time during his illustrious tenure in Philadelphia. However, following his 13th season with the Eagles and at the age of 36, he is contemplating retirement. Similarly, defensive tackle Cox has spent the past 12 years at Lincoln Financial Field, but like Kelce, he remains uncertain about his next steps.
Roseman expressed admiration for the contributions of both players, acknowledging their exceptional talent and character while emphasizing their right to make decisions that align with their best interests.
‘We’ll wait and give them whatever time and space they need to make the right decisions. I think the important thing from our perspective is you never want to see them wearing different colors.
‘I think for us, no matter when that is, if they want the opportunity to come back, we’d want to have the opportunity to bring them back.’

Kelce, who joined the Eagles as a 6th-round pick in 2011, has amassed an impressive resume, boasting six All-Pro selections and seven Pro Bowl appearances.
Meanwhile, Cox, selected 12th overall in 2012, has emerged as one of the league’s most dominant defensive linemen, tallying 519 total tackles, 70 sacks, and 88 tackles for loss over his career. He has earned six Pro Bowl nods and All-Pro honors.
As Philadelphia gears up for free agency with $27.4 million in salary cap space, Roseman indicated a desire to be aggressive in pursuing new talent. However, the team’s approach will undoubtedly be influenced by the decisions of Kelce and Cox, pivotal figures in the Eagles’ recent history.
