Congratulations are in order for two die-hard Eagles fans who celebrated their love for each other—and their favorite football team—by tying the knot during a tailgate party at Lincoln Financial Field. The unique wedding took place ahead of Philadelphia’s 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and has since gone viral on social media.
The couple exchanged vows in front of a makeshift altar set up in the parking lot, complete with a white backdrop adorned with white and green flowers, perfectly matching the Eagles’ team colors. A sign on the altar read “Mr. and Mrs. Vasquez,” with an Eagles logo proudly displayed, adding a perfect touch of Philly pride to the special occasion.
Videos shared on social media showed the festive atmosphere, with one guest—dressed in an A.J. Brown Eagles jersey—tossing ice into the crowd as he walked down the aisle.
The bride, a brunette, wore a beautiful white dress with a veil, while the groom sported a Kelly Green suit jacket, paying homage to the Eagles’ iconic colors. Even the officiant joined in the theme, wearing a matching Kelly Green jacket as he led the couple through their vows.

The ceremony itself had all the energy and excitement of a game day, with the groom taking the microphone after sealing their union with a kiss, shouting, “Go Eagles!” The Philadelphia faithful, many of whom were enjoying pregame beverages, immediately responded with a spirited “E-A-G-L-E-S” chant, turning the wedding into a celebration not only of love but of their shared passion for their team.
The newlyweds were seen celebrating their nuptials in Lot P, where the tailgate was in full swing. CBS News Philadelphia has since been working to identify the couple who took fan dedication to a whole new level by getting married in such a memorable fashion.
This wasn’t the only romantic celebration during Sunday’s tailgate. Elsewhere in the Lincoln Financial Field parking lot, former Eagles center Jason Kelce had his own surprise moment when he unknowingly became part of another couple’s engagement.
While posing for a photo with fans, Kelce was stunned to witness a proposal right before his eyes. The “New Heights” podcast account, which Jason co-hosts with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, shared the moment on social media with the caption, “Jason didn’t see this one coming.”
The Eagles may have won the game against the Browns, improving their record to 3-2, but for these fans, the real victories were found in love and lifelong commitments made in the heart of Eagles Nation.
With the team now set to take on the New York Giants on October 20 at MetLife Stadium, it’s clear that the spirit of Philadelphia fans knows no bounds—whether they’re celebrating a win or starting their lives together, they always bring passion and dedication.
