During Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft, Philadelphia Eagles veteran defensive tackle Brandon Graham seized the chance to rib the Dallas Cowboys in front of a national audience.
While announcing the Eagles’ second-round pick, Graham couldn’t resist adding a quick “Dallas sucks, all day” after leading an Eagles chant, much to the delight of Eagles fans and likely the chagrin of Cowboys supporters.
Graham was particularly thrilled to announce Philadelphia’s selection in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan, viewing it as a bucket list moment. “When they asked me, that was a bucket list opportunity right there,” Graham said. “I didn’t even think about doing it at home until they reached out to me, so that’s when I got super excited.”

In the draft, the Eagles bolstered their defense, selecting cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean as their first two picks. Graham, ready to embrace his role as a veteran leader, expressed his eagerness to mentor the newcomers. “That’s going to be cool. Whoever we bring in, I will be that captain and leader for him, so that they can keep that going when I’m gone. I really want to build them up, help them to where they are trying to go,” he added.
As Graham approaches what might be his final season, he is determined to leave a lasting impact on these young players, hoping they will continue to uphold the team culture long after his retirement.
