Dwight Howard humorously invited a list of NBA Playoff stars, including New York Knicks’ All-Star Julius Randle, to join him in Taiwan. This invitation was made after their teams were eliminated from playoff contention.
Dwight, an eight-time All-Star, brought his interior plays to Taiwan’s T1 League after leaving the Los Angeles Lakers in 2022. He drew criticism in China after referring to Taiwan as a “country” in a video promoting an event that invites people to spend a night at Taiwan’s Presidential Office. The incident occurred during a time of heightened tension between China and Taiwan, wherein China has increased its military activity.
Dwight Howard just called out EVERY underperformer this playoffs and is recruiting them to Taiwan?

Despite this, Howard apologized if he had offended anyone in China and called out the playoff participants who did not perform well on their teams.
