Dwight Howard has been making headlines for various reasons recently, and the buzz around him shows no signs of slowing down. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year, as he endeavors to make a comeback in the league, finds himself entangled in legal matters and facing speculation about his personal life. The latest development sees Howard taking legal action against his ex-partner, Tiffany Render.
As reported by RadarOnline.com, Howard is seeking a modification of the existing custody arrangement for his 13-year-old daughter, Layla Lo’Ren Howard. Following a reduction in his child support payments from $12,000 to $3,000 per month due to challenges in returning to the NBA, Howard is now pursuing custody.
According to legal documents, the NBA veteran aims to grant Tiffany Render visitation rights, with himself as the primary guardian. This decision stems from his discontent with her parenting. Howard’s team claims that Tiffany Render relocated herself and their daughter to Florida over the summer without informing him.
In addition to allegedly keeping him uninformed about significant updates and decisions, Render has allowed their teenage daughter to create content on TikTok. According to Howard’s team, the TikTok videos featuring his daughter exhibit her in “scantily clad and/or age-inappropriate clothing, with vulgar, sexual songs playing in the background, wherein which the Minor Child is making sexually inappropriate gestures and innuendo.”

While Dwight Howard remains hopeful for an NBA comeback, recent endeavors have not unfolded in his favor. Despite participating in an extended workout with the Golden State Warriors this summer, the team opted not to sign him. Additionally, Howard faced legal issues with allegations of sexual assault and battery during a private meetup with a man named Stephen Harper.
In response to the allegations, Howard addressed them in an Instagram Live video, vehemently denying any wrongdoing and expressing his reluctance to discuss his personal life. As a free agent, Howard’s future in the league remains uncertain, with speculation that potential suitors may be monitoring both his on-court performance and off-court developments.
Now, as he enters a legal battle with Tiffany Render, it appears that Howard’s off-the-court challenges are continuing to mount.
