Four years ago, WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson threw his support behind Joe Biden for President of the United States.
Biden ultimately won the election, but Johnson now reflects on his endorsement with some uncertainty. In a recent conversation with Fox News host Will Cain regarding the upcoming election, Johnson expressed his discontent with the current state of America but maintained hope for improvement.
“Am I happy with the state of America right now? Well, that answer is no. Do I believe we’re gonna get better? I’m an optimistic guy, and I believe we can get better,” he shared in response to Cain’s inquiries.
Regarding his past endorsement of Biden, Johnson explained that he believed it was the right decision at the time, using his influence to advocate for what he felt was best for the country. However, he emphasized that he won’t be repeating such endorsements in the future.
“The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time,” he clarified. “But am I gonna do that again this year? That answer is no.”
Additionally, Johnson dispelled any speculation about his own political aspirations, stating plainly that he has no plans to run for political office in the near future.
