How frequently will Draymond Green unintentionally cause harm on the basketball court?
In the recent Warriors-Suns game, Draymond Green found himself ejected in the third quarter for striking Jusuf Nurkic in the face. This marks his third ejection of the season, putting him at risk of potential NBA sanctions. Following the game, Green insisted that he did not intend to hit Nurkic and offered an explanation.
“I’m not one to apologize for things that I meant to do, but I do apologize to Jusuf because I didn’t intend to hit him,” Green stated. “I sell calls with my arms. I don’t fall to sell a call. I’m not a flopper. So I was just selling a call because he was grabbing me and pulling my hip back. So I spun away, and unfortunately I hit him.”

Despite Green’s explanation, there is skepticism about whether the league will accept it, especially considering Nurkic’s perspective on the incident.
Nurkic, in his postgame remarks, expressed uncertainty about Green’s behavior, stating, “What’s going on with him I don’t know. That brother needs help. I’m glad he didn’t try and choke me. But at the same time, it had nothing to do with basketball. I’m just out there trying to play basketball, and they’re out there swinging. I think we saw that often. I hope whatever he’s got in his life gets better.”
The Suns emerged victorious over the Warriors with a score of 119-116, contributing to Golden State’s 10-13 record for the season. It’s noted that Draymond Green’s on-court actions are less entertaining when the Warriors are not dominating their opponents.
