Draymond Green has always been forthright about expressing his thoughts on various situations, and he stayed true to his character during Monday’s media session when discussing the addition of Chris Paul.
When asked about his past battles with CP3 before becoming his teammate, Green candidly acknowledged that the veteran point guard can come across as “kind of an asshole,” but he clarified that it’s not necessarily a negative trait.
If you’ve ever watched Chris compete he’s kind of an asshole. You may say the same thing about me and that’s ok. But he’s also one of the most competitive guys I’ve played against over my 11 years in this league. … Definitely somebody I can learn from. I’m excited about it. We’re growing in more facets than one and it’s been an incredible start to it. For both of us, the goal is to win.
Paul joined the Warriors this offseason after years of his teams being rivals with Golden State in the Western Conference.
