The Minnesota Timberwolves are in a tough spot after falling Sunday night once again to the Dallas Mavericks and now trail in the Western Conference Finals 3-0.
Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns struggled with his shot in Game 3 as he shot 5-for-18 from the field and 0-for-8 from three-point range.
After the game, Towns claimed that he’s been “putting up 1,500 shots a day.”
Unfortunately for Towns, nobody believes that, especially Draymond Green and Charles Barkley who called out Towns for lying on the TNT broadcast.
Draymond Green: “Karl-Anthony Towns is capping. Nobody is shooting 1,500 shots a day right now.” Charles Barkley: “First of all, he’s lying.”
Whether Towns is shooting 1,500 or 15,000 shots per day doesn’t really matter as the Timberwolves now need to win four straight games if they want to play in the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.
Teams in the NBA with a 3-0 series lead are a perfect 154-0 in advancing so chances are quite slim that the Timberwolves can make history.
Game 4 will once again be in Dallas as the Mavericks look to complete the sweep on Tuesday night.
