In last night’s superfight between Terrence Crawford and Errol Spence, hip hop artist Drake emerged as the big winner, according to some internet chatter.
Drake placed a $2.5 million bet on Crawford to knock out Spence, with odds of +800.
As luck would have it, Crawford did just that in the 9th round, resulting in an alleged $20 million payout for Drake.
Congratulations to Champagnepapi, the betting champion, allegedly.
Meanwhile, Terence Crawford delivered an impressive boxing performance, defeating Errol Spence Jr. and capturing the undisputed welterweight championship.
Crawford dropped Spence in the 2nd and twice in the 7th round, eventually stopping him in the 9th round.
Referee Harvey Dock intervened at 2 minutes, 32 seconds, as Spence was bloodied and swollen.
At 35 years old, Crawford’s victory solidifies his status as ESPN’s top pound-for-pound boxer, despite facing skepticism throughout his career.
