Hailing from a lineage of standout UNC athletes—from his father, a former Tar Heel quarterback, to his brother, a national championship-winning forward for the Tar Heel basketball team—Drake has steep competition for family fame.
Despite this, as his collegiate career at North Carolina concluded, Drake was poised to possibly eclipse them all. Projected as a top-three pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, his future looked bright. In his three-year tenure, including two as starting quarterback, he completed 64.9% of his passes, amassing 8,018 yards with 63 touchdowns and just 16 interceptions. Additionally, he rushed for 1,209 yards and 16 touchdowns across 302 carries.
