It is reported that Antonio Brown, the former NFL wide receiver, intends to make a comeback on the football field with the Albany Empire in the AFL. As the majority owner of the franchise, Antonio Brown’s tenure so far has not been successful, with issues such as being thrown off the field and team members not being paid.
BREAKING: Just got off the phone with @thealbanyempir Head Coach Tom Menas and team representatives. They both told me it's their understanding that @AB84 plans to play for the Empire as soon as their next home game on May 27th.

More on @CBS6Albany.
Head coach Tom Menas and other representatives reportedly plan for AB to play in the team’s May 27th home game. However, many view this move as a disaster waiting to happen due to AB’s love for attention and past controversial behavior such as sharing explicit images, exposing himself to a woman, and targeting Tom Brady’s relationship during his divorce.

With the AFL already not taken seriously, having an owner on the field may take it to a new level of absurdity. Though it may make for an entertaining circus, it is unlikely to be a serious sporting event.
