Donna Kelce has officially mastered the art of NFL travel! As the proud mother of two Super Bowl-winning sons, Travis and Jason Kelce, Donna has become a fixture in the football world, balancing a schedule that often requires her to crisscross the country to support both her boys. Over the years, she has made headlines for her dedication, attending their games no matter the distance. But with Jason’s recent retirement from the NFL, her travel routine is set for a change.
Jason, who played 13 remarkable seasons as the Philadelphia Eagles’ star center, announced his retirement in March 2024. While his playing days are over, Jason isn’t stepping away from the game entirely. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Donna opened up about how her travel schedule is shifting now that Jason has transitioned from the field to the broadcast booth as an analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown.
“It’ll be a little different because Jason won’t be on the field, but he’s going to be talking about the field,” Donna shared with PEOPLE. “He got a job with ESPN.” While Jason’s new role won’t demand the physical toll of his NFL career, he’ll still be hitting the road each week to provide pre-game analysis. Donna, of course, plans to continue supporting him in this new chapter of his career. “He’ll be traveling for Monday Night Football, so I’ll be supporting him just like I do with my other son,” she added.

Although her travel schedule will ease up with Jason no longer suiting up for the Eagles, Donna isn’t slowing down. In fact, she’s gearing up for a different kind of busy. “I might be traveling for 15 days in a row, going to different places — but at least I won’t have to be in two places at the same time anymore,” she joked. This change is a welcome relief for Donna, who, in January 2022, made headlines for traveling across the country to attend both of her sons’ playoff games.
She started the day in Tampa, watching Jason and the Eagles, and then hopped on a flight to Kansas City to cheer on Travis and the Chiefs, covering nearly 1,300 miles in a single day.
One perk of Jason’s new broadcasting role? There will be more opportunities for Donna to see both of her sons in the same place. “I’m especially looking forward to when Jason heads to Kansas City for Monday Night Countdown,” Donna said excitedly. “Because then I get to see both boys at the same time, which doesn’t happen often.” The chance to see Jason and Travis together is a rare treat, with the last time being in November 2023 when the Eagles faced off against the Chiefs in a rematch of the “Kelce Bowl” Super Bowl from earlier that year.
Donna’s love for the game and her sons’ careers is as strong as ever, and her enthusiasm for the 2024 NFL season is palpable. Most recently, she was spotted in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium during the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 15. But it wasn’t just her sons on her mind — Donna was seen enjoying the game alongside Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, continuing the fun dynamic they began last season.
The two have formed a supportive bond, even sharing moments with Taylor’s mom, Andrea Swift, who joined them in the suite. The sight of the two matriarchs hugging during the game was a heartwarming reminder of the friendships that have blossomed through football.
“I am having the time of my life now, more than ever,” Donna told PEOPLE, reflecting on the incredible journey she’s had supporting her sons through their football careers. While her travel schedule may be slightly different now that Jason has retired, Donna’s commitment to both of her sons remains as strong as ever, ensuring that she’ll continue to be a familiar face in stadiums across the country.
As the 2024 NFL season unfolds, one thing is certain: Donna Kelce’s dedication to her family and love for the game will keep her cheering from the stands, whether it’s for Travis on the field or Jason in the broadcast booth.
