Travis Kelce might seem like he has it all—three Super Bowl rings, seven All-Pro selections, and nine Pro Bowl honors. Not to mention, he’s now dating global icon Taylor Swift. But despite his impressive resume on and off the field, even Travis Kelce has his shortcomings, as his mom, Donna Kelce, recently revealed.
In an interview with Extra, Mama Kelce spilled the beans on two basic life skills that Travis hasn’t quite mastered: cleaning and cooking.
“He can’t clean. He can’t cook,” Donna Kelce shared, laughing. “He’s getting a little better. I think he’s getting some help.”
It seems that while Travis excels at being one of the NFL’s best tight ends, his domestic skills leave a bit to be desired. However, with some encouragement (perhaps from Swift herself), he’s reportedly improving in the kitchen. Donna hinted that her son has started making progress, suggesting that Taylor Swift’s influence might be extending beyond just cheering him on at games—she could also be inspiring him to hone his culinary skills.

While Kelce may not be on the path to earning a MICHELIN star anytime soon, at least it sounds like he’s moved beyond the days of microwaving Hot Pockets.
Interestingly, Kelce’s struggles haven’t been confined to just the kitchen. On the field, he’s had a slow start this season. Through Week 4, Kelce has managed only 8 receptions for 69 yards and no touchdowns—uncharacteristic numbers for a player of his caliber.
Still, what really matters to Chiefs fans is that the “Kansas Swiftie Chiefs” are undefeated, sitting at 3-0 as they continue their quest for a three-peat Super Bowl victory.
So while Kelce works on perfecting his culinary skills and aims to turn things around on the field, one thing is certain: Taylor Swift’s presence is adding a new, fun dynamic to his life, both at home and in the stands.
